It's Benjamin Thorn as a lizard again! It's been, again, several months since I've drawn him. I need to just plain draw more.

I'm just trying out a new medium here. Yes, I'll be honest with everybody. Save for the cheapie Crayola markers when I was a kid, I never honestly played with markers before.

And they're kind of fun. Not as fun as prismacolors but they're decent.

To be honest, I actually really like how greyscale markers look, but at the moment, I can't get them to look the way I want them to since I really only have two markers. I'm still not sold on the idea of using color markers, but for now, multiple shades of grey is fine.

One drawing, I tried to see how it would look with half an outline and messier inks, and the second one has no outline and more thoughtful strokes. Still undecided which looks better. And I wonder if markers would look any good with colored pencil on top...

Just an experiment, and I used Lizard Ben since he's easy to draw. My only real beef is that he's sharing the same expression in both sketches even though I didn't mean do that.

The egg in the bear trap is a joke that came up on MSN. Ben's pondering the risks.

It's fun to actually upload a sketch into my gallery for a change. 99% of them just stay in my notebook for reasons unknown.
And back to my regularly scheduled "draw 90's characters no one cares about" program.
