Because of midterms I couldn't really flesh this sketch out but I haven't drawn this character in yeeeeears. I hope I remembered him right since I couldn't find those concept arts of him anywhere.

N. Gin from Crash Bandicoot or, to be more specific, the particular design N. Gin was sporting in Crash 2 and Crash 3. That's why he looks a little bit more irritated than he normally is; this was his transitional "I got fired from my defense industry job from an accident that destroyed my looks and now I'm fighting mutant rodents I hate absolutely everything pass the painkiller" stage. I like to think that his mood gradually mellowed over time.

...as did his sanity. Even if you're one of the many people that disregard the Sierra games, N. Gin really kind of loses it. That rocket is deteriorating his brain.

I drew N. Gin because I looked into my older portions of my gallery and were repulsed by the badly drawn N. Gins I drew when I was in high school. What the hell was I on!?
So to apologize for the peeps on my watch list for suffering through that, I drew a PROPER N. Gin, one that won't make your eyes bleed.

This was just a test run to see if I could draw this character right. His proportions still need a little tweaking and the pose is kind of weird but now I'm confident that I can at least somewhat draw this guy.

This entire week was pure hell. I had two very important midterms, my scanner and my fridge both died at the same time, and now I'm currently suffering from a bout of the flu. Case in point, I hate everything right now.
This picture is the last thing I scanned of my trusty scanner before it kicked the bucket. It was my sidekick for over five years now, but tomorrow I will replace him with a newer, sleeker model with higher resolution settings.

I had fun drawing this guy. Expect more N. Gins in the future.

...along with Ripper Roo. I keep forgetting to draw that character.

But oh geez, does my gut hurt. I think I'm going to lay down for the next five years. :\

The posture is a little off, but hey, that doesn't matter one bit. ^^ You still made him look awesome, and I'm really blown away by the facial expression. N. Gin looks like he's about to kick somebody's butt regardless of if they're his ally or not.

Well, hey! I've never seen any of the old pictures, but I definitely like the way that you draw N. Gin here. I don't draw N. Gin often, but when I do it's a lot of fun. And you did a good job of capturing N. Gin's irritated expression.

Yeah, I was seriously considering linking my old pictures of him to this picture just to show the level of improvement, but then I realized that I keep those pictures hidden for a good reason. I mean, they're REALLY terrible. They barely look like him at all. XD (and since someone's bound to look for them, I'm even double-checking and making sure they're firmly locked away in Deviant Storage, they're that bad)

it's always so nice to see him in different and individual styles~
Even thought his "anatomy" is ridiculous to draw

Yeah, when it comes to artist's comments, I tend to ramble because I want to write everything down that can be associated with the picture. XD

His crazy, noodly arm on flour sack body anatomy is kind of fun. I don't think I got it 100% right here so I'm going to draw him again to get the kinks out. And I always sort of saw N. Gin as having freckles and I have no idea why. I also picture him burning easily under sunlight.
