Confused Mutant Plantduck

Wouldn't you be confused if you were half man, half duck, and half Angiospermae? Life just wouldn't add up.

Hooray for cel-shading practice!

I'm actually starting to like cel-shading again. I'll keep my normal way of shading still, but it's nice to have something to fall back on in case the soft shading gets old.

I apologize for having yet another background-less picture, but I noticed my Bushroot pictures haven't been looking as canon/true-to-the-show as I would like them to be, so I tried my best to draw a more on-model Bushroot. So basically just practice.

I probably didn't succeed. One of these days, Bushroot. ONE OF THESE DAYS.

In other words, just a Bushroot picture I drew during my lunch shifts out of boredom. I always feel like drawing something more popular whenever I draw Bravestarr, as if to say "I'm sorry watchers for plastering a rodent man you have no idea about all over your messages, so here, have a cartoon character you actually recognize to make up for it".

Anyways, in addition to that, my personal interpretation of Bushroot would be that, in addition to having major emotional issues that really need sorting out, the poor fellow would just be in a perpetual state of confusion on account of the whole plant thing. Me being the fun killjoy that I am, I was always kind of bugged how in Beauty and the Beet, Bushroot went from "What the hell did I turn into?" to spamming entire trees and forests and vines and stuff. I always liked the idea that Bushroot would just not know what his own body is capable of doing half the time. Like he'd do something plant-related like shoot pollen out of his head or turn his arm into a snaking vine, and then react in amazement/disgust/scientific intrigue because wow, I could do that!?
I dunno, I was always waiting for one of the superpowered villains on the show to have a reaction like that. The closest you get is Liquidator going "Now how come I've never thought of that?" when Negaduck walks across the bay in Jailbird.

Eh, but that's enough blather. You would've seen this picture three days ago except Photoshop actually saved the file as a 90 x 76 png for some reason, destroying the first edition of this piece and I had to start ALL OVER AGAIN.

Ah well. Things happen.

Bushroot is from Darkwing Duck, which is owned by Disney. I would assure the viewer that I will draw non mutant scientist characters of Darkwing Duck but I'm kind of tempted to revisit some of the drawings I did of this character from last year.
