Draw the Weird Nintendo Minions Again

Description

My choices for fanarting can be totally strange. The fact that I probably have more Klungo in my gallery than any other person on DA probably does not reflect well in terms of my personal tastes. (Just kidding; Klungo's awesome.)

I would also say something about Chancellor Cole, but honestly, I've noticed that opinions on the guy have been shifting towards the positive.

I don't try to do these too often because A) I don't want to spam my gallery with art memes and make it look like I'm submitting filler instead of drawing actual art, B) I don't want to look like I'm constantly patting myself on the back and bragging about my own art improvement, and C) considering the volume of different characters I draw (considering how I drift in and out of interests at the drop of a hat), improvement is pretty much inevitable, but this was just screaming to be done.

Plus the last Draw this Again meme I did was around....October of last year, so no one can accuse me of spamming if there's almost a year's difference, right?

One of my friends around the start of this summer was talking about how my Draw this Again! submissions usually deal with pictures that are at least four or five years old, making it seem almost too easy. For example, the Rareware meme, in which I pick on drawings from 2007-2008 and even pick out a crayon drawing from 2005. Sometimes I even attack drawings from my childhood, as if I'm somehow not gonna improve from 1999 despite the BFA. Child's play, right?

So because of that I redrew two pictures from my gallery that were relatively recent (as in, nothing over two years old) and kind of represented two steps I took with Photoshop coloring. The 2011 Chancellor Cole picture, hideous as it is now (at least to me; gaaaaah some of the choices I made are eye-searing), I remember taking forever because it was one big painting experiment. And the 2012 Klungo was an experiment in shading with color on different layers.

Man, Klungo reminds me how I need to draw more Banjo-Kazooie art (after I draw some of my original characters of course; I'm kicking myself to start revamping characters of mine before I start fanarting once more). It celebrated its fifteenth anniversary and I drew almost diddly squat. I'm the worst fan of everything.

Wow, you really improved a lot, even though probably more between 2011 and 2012 than 2012 and 2013.
Maybe it is because I don't know the characters (shame on me >__>) , but in my opinion they don't look like fanart but official art taken  right out of a game, so great job on that!
