Author's Notes: Why yes, original fiction. You know, fanfiction, but with stuff that I created. What a concept. Haven't written one of these in a while. (With the exception of that Stormwing story I wrote for English class last year.)
I wanted to write about Heartbreak because she's been involved in some RPs and romance, plus the fact that even though I LOVE her design, character, and story, I just haven't been using her to her full potential. Plus, yeah, I need to explain some stuff in one of my universes. Not Tylia, but Thrae.

Whoa geez, I actually drew this character in a way that he doesn't look like crap! 8D
Fun fact: I was tempted to draw him as a realistic bear in Moneybags' clothing (which would be kind of terrifying), but then decided to go for the more classic route.

Jokes aside, Moneybags for :iconneondragongirl:'s big Spyro Collab that's currently taking place.

I like Moneybags, but a lot of Spyro fans hate this guy. I don't know, personally I found him hilarious. I loved how in Spyro 3 he metamorphosed from somewhat sophisticated businessman in Avalar into an absolute asshole about his gem collection, but considering I was a completionist when I came to those games, I always had plenty of gems to hand over.

The only time I really found Moneybags annoying was in A Hero's Tail, because you'll be exploring some world until you hear "HEY SPYRO, OVER HERE!" for the zillionth time. Good lord, Moneybags.

I tried to blend elements of A Hero's Tail Moneybags with Classic Spyro Moneybags. I liked how AHT Moneybags looked way more like an actual bear and didn't have creepy, forever staring eyes, but I so did not like the Arabian Merchant look they chose. Plus, come on, merchant? Moneybags takes bribes, not honest money.

I'm honestly tempted to draw this guy again. There's just something familiar about drawing Spyro the Dragon fanart and Moneybags needs more love. He's just so much of a jerk...

I drew this without inking the lines to see how well that would do. I actually kind of like this look. The lines don't feel as "dead".

You know... One of the Insomniac developers said that if you decide to say no to moneybags, some of the funniest one-liners in the games come out of it... :) I find this true... :D Also I love that in YotD in Spooky Swamp when he spoke in haikus... ^^

That's how Moneybags gets his sustenance. He feeds off the hatred of Spyro players and it keeps him young and vibrant. =D
