TMNT-Scale Tail

Description

More TMNT fanart because I feel sort of bad for inflicting my badly drawn Baxter Stockmans onto the populace. Maybe I'll redraw him and color him better.

Reason #201 why the 90's were great: The toys were fantastic. I mean, look at this toy. It's a snake with snakes for an arm and it has a gun attached to its tail! Suddenly my sky dancers and Pound Puppies seem lame in comparison.

Anyways, since I'm slowly mutating into a TMNT supernerd, here's fanart of a character that never even made it to the show. This is Scale Tail (or Scaletail, I've seen it spelled both ways), and, like the Shakespearian actor who turned into a lion and the African witchdoctor that turned into an elephant, I kind of wish he made it into the show.

I say this because they had a perfect opportunity to use him since there was a Season 6 episode called "Snakes Alive" that was all about snakes. Leonardo has a crippling fear of snakes so of course the show is cruel enough to pit him against a mutant snake scientist who can control snakes.

And personally, while the design they went with is really clever in its own way, but think of how cool it would've been if Dr. Rudolph Cobrato (who, like Polidorius, probably has no fanart because I think everyone got tired of the mobsters and the scientists in this show) revealed that he had freaking snakes for arms?

Yeah, I know the action figure says that he's a sleazeball bounty hunter from Dimension X, but his toy has ripped clothing. From my experience with TMNT action figures, if the action figure has ripped clothing, it's a human that mutated. If the animal has clean clothing, it's usually either a Dimension X villain (Anthrax) or an animal that fell into sludge. (like that moose guy)

...and now I kind of want to draw him against Leonardo. I'm usually not a Leonardo fan (I blame the writing that, 80% of the time, just gives him the "Let's go, everybody! Turtles fight with honor!" lines and NOTHING ELSE) but I liked him in Snakes Alive.

I'll keep tweaking the shading. I'm gradually learning how to make my Digital coloring not suck.
