DWD - Bushroot Says it with Mutant Flowers

Happy Valentine's Day! What a better way to celebrate this joyous holiday than with a flower.
...a murderous flower that has committed some pretty heinous crimes (No, Bushroot! Strapping the woman you like to a table and saying you were going to mutate her is NOT okay!), but a flower nonetheless.

I am really out of practice with my Disney ducks and my Darkwing Duck folder needed more art. I'm multitasking!

The hardcore DWD fans should recognize exactly what mysterious science-y chemical Bushroot is holding AND know what episode it's from.

Bushroot really is one of my favorite characters in all media of all time, but my drawings never really capture the fact that Bushroot does have a mean streak in addition to be hilariously whiny, really sympathetic, wants a friend, and just plain not cut out for villainy. I rewatched a lot of his episodes recently and it floors me how diabolical and cruel that vegetable can be. Besides the fact that he killed two people on the show, his traps can be pretty lethal.

I always loved how bendy and wacky Bushroot’s proportions are in the printed media (especially how James Silvani draws him in the newest comics) but it probably just looks like I have no idea how a skeleton works.

Anyways, Bushroot! Not much to say about this, beyond the fact that I was originally going to submit this with a seperate Bushroot image but I feel the images worked better separate.

By the way, how horrifying was Bushroot's transformation into a mutant plant duck? I think I was like seven when I had a "rapid defrosting fridge horror" moment when I realized that Bushroot's entire bone structure and organs probably completely dissolved and are completely gone, the way Bushroot can contort his limbs and body in the show and the fact that any breath-related weapons just don't work on him. Does...does Bushroot breathe through his skin now? And what about the whole "Bushroot can get completely shredded into nothing but can regrow himself, and even make hollow skin husks" thing and just aaaaaugh what is with this guy?

Oh, Disney. You and your horrifying mutations. I'm not even gonna touch the things that happened in the Aladdin or Buzz Lightyear cartoons.
